- September 2, 2026ERAS applicants can begin submitting to programs.
- September 17, 2026ResidencyCAS application deadline — Emergency Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- September 23, 2026Programs begin reviewing ERAS applications. Everything submitted from September 2 through September 22 appears to programs as received this day, so there is no first-day advantage.
- March 19, 2027Match Day (NRMP). Ophthalmology (SF Match) and Urology (AUA/SAU) run separate calendars.

ECFMG CERTIFICATION TIMING
A few ECFMG Pathways dates
You need ECFMG certification to enter the Match. These are ECFMG's dates, not CycleDoc's — always confirm your own requirements and status directly with ECFMG:
- December 31, 2026ECFMG certification based on accepted 2024 Pathways applications expires, and it is the final month to take OET Medicine for the current cycle.
- January 31, 2027Final deadline to submit the 2027 Pathways online application and supporting documentation (Eastern Time).
The 2026 Pathways application window closed April 20, 2026. Requirements and dates change every cycle — verify everything at ecfmg.org.

Does CycleDoc work for international medical graduates?
Yes. CycleDoc tracks your programs, deadlines, signals, and interview invites in one place no matter where you trained. It works the same whether you apply through ERAS or, for Emergency Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology, through ResidencyCAS.
Does CycleDoc show which programs sponsor visas?
No. CycleDoc does not track visa sponsorship status or visa type — that is not in our program data. It is a real filter for IMGs, so confirm each program's sponsorship directly with the program or through official resources. CycleDoc keeps your programs, deadlines, signals, and interviews organized; it does not tell you who sponsors.
I'm applying to a lot of programs. Can CycleDoc handle that?

When do programs start reviewing applications?
For ERAS, applicants can submit to programs starting September 2, 2026, and programs begin reviewing on September 23, 2026 — applications submitted anytime from September 2 through September 22 all appear as received on September 23, so there is no advantage to rushing an incomplete application. Emergency Medicine and OB/GYN apply through ResidencyCAS on a September 17, 2026 deadline.
